i am a full grown 90s kid and this was my typical look back then. although i actually wore chokers and doc martens to complete my ensemble. i must admit though that the selection of slip dresses back then was not as much as what we have now. they are actually a lot more prettier now and the choices of how we styled and worked them with what we have in our closet are limitless. i guess that is the best thing about reviving specific styles from back in the day. we get to remake them into something better.
i love slip dresses that have intricate lace detailing which makes it a lot more interesting and adds a bit of depth and texture. obviously i love black but i certainly would love to grab hold of some nice velvet ones in the future. unfortunately i feel like i should have gotten a size bigger. i am a fairly wide gal (my hips overflow like mad) and i technically prefer something a bit more loose fitting so its a more comfortable to move around in. i guess now it will serve as a reminder that i have to shed some of that extra weight.
have you guys tried this trend yet? what do you think about it?!
