as you may all know, i live in a muslim country and ramadan is part of our life out here. i am a devoted roman catholic but one of the best things about living in dubai is its open concept of tolerance and kindness, and creating a more understanding and well-rounded community. dubai consist of hundreds of different nationalities all living in peace, learning together from each others culture and religion, and appreciating its individual beauty. it is one of things i love about living in dubai.
ramadan is a month of mercy and forgiveness. another chance to change and discipline ourselves. sharing this beautiful and blessed month of ramadan…
ramadan is also a great time to explore your personal style. because a more modest take in dressing is encouraged during this time, you will mostly see a bit of light layering and longer hemlines. a few touches of sparkle and some intricate detailing in each outfit. i know we are halfway done with this season but figured i can still share my personal favourites which are great choices for the upcoming eid celebration. hope you guys like them!
SHOP THE RAMADAN EDIT
i have recently wrapped up cleaning the closet (welcoming summer with more room for new outfits) and it feels so good to let go of old things that are just there collecting dust. i have always believed that if you have not used an items for more than 2 years, it is best to let it go – you can either sell them or give them away to charity, both of which i basically do every six months and it does feel so good to have a cleaner and more organised closet. now do forgive the wrinkles on the dress, i was stuck in the car for a bit before i shot the photos. i wore this dress for iftar last night and it definitely turned heads. i knew instantly i had to have it when i saw it online over at SHOPBOP and super happy when it reached my doorstep last week. what do you think? do you likey?!
